Natural gas storage

Sempra Pipelines & Storage (SPS) owns, operates and develops natural gas pipelines
and storage facilities throughout the United States.

In late 2008, SPS acquired Bay Gas Storage and Mississippi Hub. Bay Gas Storage, operating in southern Alabama, and Mississippi Hub, being developed in southern Mississippi, are underground, salt dome natural gas storage facilities. Both facilities are well positioned with access to multiple interstate pipelines, Gulf Coast gas supplies and major downstream natural gas markets.

Sempra Pipelines & Storage is also the majority owner of Liberty Gas Storage. Liberty Gas Storage owns two separate underground, salt dome storage projects in southeast Louisiana: the Liberty Project in Calcasieu and Beauregard parishes, and the Liberty Expansion Project in Cameron Parish. These ideal project sites near many interstate pipelines enable Liberty Gas Storage to provide a wide range of storage-related services to liquefied natural gas shippers, producers, local industrial end users, distribution companies, gas marketers and others.
